In 1950, nine wine producers from the agriculturally rich Emilia-Romagna region "united" to form the Cantine Cooperative Riunite. The new association enabled the winemakers to purchase better equipment, share new technical ideas and technologies, and improve both the production and the quality of their wines. This has worked out very well for the winemakers and consumers.
Today, over 50 years later, there are 1,200 dedicated growers who grow grapes for the production of Riunite-the world's leading wine exporter in the world!
Vinification (the act of making grape juice into wine) takes place under the watchful eye of Master Oenologist Antonio Maccieri and his staff of experts.
Superior Quality-Primo Vino
In June 1993, Riunite was the first winery in Europe to be granted "Certified Quality" status. These standards guarantee consumers that their purchases have been rigorously controlled at every stage of production: from the moment the grapes arrive at the winery until the bottles are shipped.
