Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I Find Riunite Wine?
Riunite wines are distributed nationwide and usually can be found wherever wine is sold. If your local retailer does not carry a particular selection, inquire with the store manager. He or she may be able to special order the product for you from our distributor.
What is the shelf life of Riunite?
The shelf life of Riunite is approximately 1½–2 years prior to opening. Once opened it should be refrigerated where it will maintain its freshness and flavor for 2 or 3 days.
Can I order Riunite directly from the winery?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. State and federal regulations restrict suppliers from selling directly to consumers.
Are there sulfites in Riunite?
All wines naturally contain sulfites. The US government stipulates that if a wine contains more than 10 parts per million, it must state "contains sulfites" on the label -- though in reality, a banana or bunch of grapes purchased in the supermarket contains more than 10 parts per million of sulfites. The average white wine contains about 130 ppm, while the average red contains about 250 ppm. In general, wines made for consumption within a few years from the vintage date - like Riunite- contain lower sulfite levels than wines destined for longer aging.
What are the calorie and carbohydrate counts in Riunite?
66 per 100ml of wine and the carbohydrate content is 60 grams per liter.
There is some red "crystal-like" sediment at the bottom of my Riunite Lambrusco bottle…what is it?
The sediment in the bottom of the wine bottle is crystallized tartrates (cream of tartar) that appear naturally when the wine is stored at a temperature below the freezing point. These crystals melt easily and are not harmful if ingested. These tartrates do not affect the taste of the wine.
What if I get a bottle that just doesn't taste right?
Sometimes, due to storage conditions that may be too hot or too cold, the wine can become spoiled. If your bottle tastes wrong, we suggest you take it back to the retail store for a replacement. Typically, this is not a problem.
